Historical notes

The Japanese research project references Swallow alongside its profile of Robin. Sarome’s own archive identifies the Swallow as an early automatic oil lighter produced from 1951 to 1955. The archive distinguishes the smaller earlier version from the later larger version; some early versions lack the SWALLOW name on the base.

Identification guidance

Compare base engravings, dimensions and manufacturer-described Adonis ignition before classifying unnamed small examples.
